All the ceramic bowls I make is thown on the potters wheel. After a day of drying the leather hard bowl is trimmed to perfect the shape and foot.
After a few days of further drying the now completely dry bowls are fired the first time to turn them into ceramic.
Then the bowls are decorated glazed and fired one last time to make the final bowls.
All the bowls are quite strong - even though some of them are thin and light by nature. They can be dish washed although they probably last longer if washed by hand. I do not recommend that you use them in microwave. I can't promise they will survive that in the long run.
